According to the animal zodiac that Japan follows, 2022 is the Year of the Tiger. And just like in 2020 and 2021, Hayao Miyazaki has illustrated the current year’s zodiac for Studio Ghibli’s New Year’s Greeting!
The official Studio Ghibli Twitter account shared several pictures of the famed anime director with long-time producer Toshio Suzuki working on his piece for the new year. You can check out those pictures along with the final illustration below:
