On September 21, voice actress and singer Asami Seto (Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai and Raphtalia in Rising of the SHield Hero) donned a police uniform for a day and took on the duties of head traffic safety officer in the seaside city of Fujisawa in Kanagawa prefecture.
During her one-day stint as an officer, Seto passed out materials and talked with passerbys about bicycle safety, traffic awareness, and accident prevention.
Seto was honored for her work at a ceremony held by the police chief at the Terrace Mall Shonan shopping center. Quite a few shoppers gathered to witness the ceremony. The police station gave her a certificate of appreciation for her efforts.
Seto is the star of the Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai television anime and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl film. Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl opened in Japan on June 15, and debuted at #7 in its opening weekend. The film earned a cumulative total of 373,520,090 yen (about US$3.43 million).
Aniplex of America describes the film’s story:
In Fujiwara, where the skies are bright and the seas glisten, Sakuta Azusagawa is in his second year of high school. His blissful days with his girlfriend and upperclassman, Mai Sakurajima, are interrupted with the appearance of his first crush, Shoko Makinohara. For reasons unknown, he encounters two Shokos: one in middle school and another who has become an adult.
As Sakuta finds himself helplessly living with Shoko, the adult Shoko leads him around by the nose, causing a huge rift in his relationship with Mai.
In the midst of all this, he discovers that the middle school Shoko is suffering from a grave illness and his scar begins to throb…
